HIM's Pet of the Month: Toby

Bob and Julie Lockyer are the proud parents of Toby! He is 6 years old and loves when people pet him. He loves when his mommy and daddy come home from work. He wags his tail and barks to say welcome home I missed you. Toby is a funny little boy. When the phone rings and the answering machine picks up Toby will start to howl when he hears his mommy’s voice.  Toby suffers from Cushing Disease but still takes life in stride! As you can see he takes time to smell the flowers.

HIM's Pet of the Month: Violet Rose

HIM's Pet of the Month for July 2014 - canine family member of HIM friends Scott & Marianne Schultz of Kane‘ohe, HI!

Meet Violet Rose - a little dog with a huge personality! A Chihuahua mix, she is 3 years old and weighs 13 pounds. Scott and Marianne adopted her from the Hawaiian Humane Society. Having tested positive for heartworm, Violet underwent imiticide treatment on June 4th. They anxiously await her being able to once more run around, play, swim and enjoy walks after her 6-week mandatory rest is over. She will be re-tested in 6 months with hopes that she is free of this condition. Violet Rose is a joy to have in the Schultz home and big sister Ko‘ele likes having a new companion.

HIM's Pet of the Month: Smores

This lovable white feline was not a planned pet to HIM staff member, Michele. After the passing of a neighbor, the cat suddenly migrated to her home. Michele took it upon herself to feed the lonely cat and they came up with the name, "Smores."

Smores enjoys her daily treats and sunning herself on the back patio. Watch out as she may bat at your ankles walking by or meow at you until you check out her latest hiding place. The charming cape was knitted by Michele's daughter, Adia.
